Todd Lynn Show S/S 2011

The inspiration behind the Todd Lynn show was the "idea of creation restarted for Spring/Summer 2011 ... futurism through the human" and boy did it deliver on this message. Snakeskin appeared on almost all garments in the form of panelling whilst paper leather, stretch linen and stretch and ramie cotton also featured strongly.

The colour palette was very subdued with tones of concrete, moss, sea, flesh, anthracite and destroyed gold.

Draping allowed Lynn to present the idea that "clothes are built, not adorned".

Christian Louboutin provided the vertiginous heels in snake and trainers in tenderised suede whilst Shaun Leane collaborated with Lynn on a range of "sculptural pieces with repeating silver hardware".

Overall I was thoroughly impressed by the collection and think that it is definitely something to look out for. However the collection is very conceptual and I do get the impression that commercially it may be difficult to sell but if the right person wears a piece of Lynn I am sure they will look absolutely incredible.
